Torrent Names/Labels

You might have noticed that when you're downloading torrents, the title of the movie/tv show is usually accompanied by a lot of confusing names/symbols.  While it may seem confusing at first, they actually help you to identify what quality of file you're downloading.

MOVIE filenames:

For this example, I searched for Iron Man 2 on torrentz.com

In the first item on the list, the filename reads as such:

Iron Man 2 2010 DvDrip Eng FXG

Iron Man 2 = title
2010 = year of the movie's release
DvDrip = Release Type/Quality of Movie
Eng = language (English)
FXG = the name of the person(s) who uploaded the file

So in short, this is usually how most movie/tv show torrents are labeled.

(Title) (Year) (Release Type/Quality) (Language) (Uploader)

Sometimes you might see a label such as XviD.  This is simply a type of video codec used to create the movie file.  You do not need to worry about this too much.
